Witness for Peace

I have a student who is travelling to Nicaragua after finishing Spanish 102 with me this semester. He is going with an organization called "Witness for Peace." I went to read about it and thought that it sounded interesting. I can't wait to hear about his trip.

Juanes, Preterite Close Activity

Is there any song better for having fun with the irregular preterite than "La Paga" by Juanes? No, I think not. I double dare you to think of one. If you can't, then go and download the song, lyrics, and have some fun with a close activity with a class. If you can, then respond to this post with your suggestion!

Just for fun-o

We HEART Ticos.

We went to visit a dear friend who works in Costa Rica with the Peace Corps. Her host family also took us in, extending only the best sort of hospitality to us. Travel is always a great source of inspiration, especially when we get to spend time with such amazing people!

I love Manu Chao, AND I love this song for reinforcing GUSTAR

Here is a link to a teacher friendly version.
